How much do you know about Lancaster’s Slavery & Cotton history? 🧐 You might be surprised to know what role this town held from 1700s onwards…

Alan takes you to central Lancaster sites that have connections to cotton and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. He uses very specific research relating to local material history to enrich our understanding of cotton’s place in the history of the North West and its relation to global history 🌎🔗 For a sneak peek on what you can expect, watch Alan on A Stitch in Time, Episode 4.
